Bamberg, Bavaria, Germany

Bamberg  is located in Upper Franconia on the river Regnitz, close to its confluence with the river Main. Bamberg is one of the few cities in Germany that was not destroyed by World War II bombings because of a nearby Artillery Factory that prevented planes from getting near to Bamberg. Bamberg is home to nearly 7,000 foreign nationals, including over 4,100 members of the United States Army and their dependents. The name Bamberg is supposed to have its origin in the House of Babenberg.

Huang-he River, China

The card shows Hukou waterfall of Huang-he (Yellow River). The Chinese called it mother River of China. The name is from a lot of sands in the water.

Kokkola, Finland

Kokkola is a town in a province of Eastern Finland.  The Finnish name Kokkola means "place of bonfire" or "place of eagle" because the Finnish root word kokko means both bonfire and white-tailed eagle. The town is bilingual  Finnish and Swedish because of Swedish inhabitants (14%).

New London, Connecticut, USA

New London Ledge Lighthouse is located at the mouth of the Thames River. It was built in 1909. Ledge Light was automated in 1986 and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. A local legend has this light haunted by "Ernie", a jilted husband.

Hildburghausen, Thuringia, Germany

Hildburghausen is a town in Thuringia in central Germany, capital of the district Hildburghausen. It is situated on the river Werra, 20 km south of Suhl, and 25 km northwest of Coburg.
Hildburghausen was the capital of Saxe-Hildburghausen until its dissolution in 1826, after which it passed to Saxe-Meiningen. The town became part of the new state of Thuringia in 1920.

Cape St. Vincent, Algarve, Portugal

Cape St. Vincent (Cabo de São Vicente) on the so-called Costa Vincenta (Vincentine Coast), is a  headland in the minicipality of  Sagers, in the Algarve, southern Portugal.

Little Switzerland, Bavaria, Germany

The next great card of Little Switzerland ( Frankischen Schweiz) in Bavaria. A card shows  Franconian traditional fountain from painting eggs on Easter in village Bieberbach.

Lotus Lake, Taiwan

Lotus Lake is a man-made lake and popular tourist destination on the east side of Zuoying District in Kaohsiung City in southern Taiwan. Opened in 1951, it is famous for the lotus plants on the lake and the numerous temples around the lake, including the Spring and Autumn Pavilions  the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas, and the Confucian Temple.
Lotus Lake was the site for several water sporting events for World Games 2009, including canoe polo, water ski, and dragon boat.

Mogilev, Belarus

The next card of Mogilev from Torie. It shows a Town Hall, built in 1578 year. It was demolished in Sovet times and rebuilt in 2008. Now there is a town museum.

Olesko, Ukraine

The Olesko Castle (Ukrainian: Олеський замок) is currently located within the borders of the present-day Busk Raion in Ukraine. The first historical records of the castle are in a document dated 1390, when Pope Boniface IX gave Halych, a Catholic bishop, this castle as a gift. It is located about seventy-five kilometers from Lviv, the largest city in western Ukraine.
