Detroit, Michigan, USA

Detroit - a name form French "détroit" which means strait (Polish: cieśnina). Detroit is a major port city on the Detroit River. Located north of Canadian town - Windsor in Ontario, Detroit is the only major  U.S. city where Canada can be viewed by looking to the south. It was founded in 1701, by  French  Antoine de la Monthe Cadillac. The town is famous for 3 headquarters of car producers: Ford, General Motors and Chrysler.
