Cottbus, Brandenburg, Germany

Cottbus a town in Brandenburg (Polish: Brandenburgia; Sorbian: Bramborska, Braniborska). It is one of main cultural town of Lower Sorbians (Dolne Łużyce). In Polish- Chociebuż, in  Lower Sorbian- Chóśebuz.
In 1514 was founded Universitas Serborum (Uniwersytet Łużyczan) by Jan Rak. Many signs in the town are bilingual, and there is a Lower Sorbian-medium Gymnasium. In Cottbus is also Brandenburg University of Technology. Every year the town is a host of East European Film Festival.

Schloss Branitz - Castle Branitz  (Polish: Zamek Brancki) - from 1772, with park. In the castle is a Regional Museum.
