Normandy is historical region in France. French: Normandie ,Norman: Normaundie; from Old French Normanz, plural of Normant, originally from the word for "northman" (in several Scandinavian languages) is the northwesternmost of the 18 regions of France, roughly referring to the historical Duchy of Normandy.
