Cape Arcona, Mecklenburg-Verpommern, Germany
Cape Arcona - (German: Kap Arkona; Polish: Arkona) on a Island of Rugia. The temple fortress of Arkona, today called Jaromarsburg, was the religious centre of the Slavic Rani (Polish: Ranowie- Rugianie) in the Early Midde Ages. The temple was dedicated to the deity Svantevit (Świętowit), who was depicted with four heads. The last woman who spoke Slavic language of Rani, Hulicina died in Rugia in 1404 year.
