Zaslavl, Belarus

Zaslavl- town in Minsk District ( Belarussian: Заслаўе; Polish: Zasław) was founded in 985 year by Vladimir the Great; population 14 thousands of inhabitants. The main architectural monuments are Saviour Church (Belarussian: Спаса-Праабражэнская царква; Polish: Cerkiew Przemienienia Pańskiego) which was built from 1577 onward and is still in fair preservation, and the Roman Catholic church of Mary's Nativity ( Belarussian: Марыінскі касцёл; Polish: Kościół Narodznia Najświętrzej Marii Panny)  a towered edifice which goes back to 1774-99. The Saviour Church is located on a place where was a castle from XI-XVII  centuries, founded by Jan Hlebowicz.
