Mississippi - a state of USA in the South of a country. The largest city and a capital of state is Jackson. The name is from a river Mississippi, which flows along its western boundary. The namesake is from the Ojibwe ( Indians of North America- Odżibwejowie in Polish) word "missi-ziibbi" ("Great River").

The lighthouse is the Biloxi lighthouse, it survived Hurricanes Camillie(1969) and Katrina(2005). Also the Beach scene is a barrier island, most likly Ship Island or Cat Island. The Magnolia in the postcard is the State Flower (also my favourite) and the Capitol building is in Jackson!
Hello! Thanx for explanation. On a postcard there was not written anything about these places.
