Sylt, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany

Sylt is an island in northen Germany, a part of Nordfriesland district and well known for the distinctive shape of its shoreline.Till 1392 Sylt had a natural connect way to mainland but because of storm it was destroyed and Sylt became an island.  Since 1927 Sylt has been connected to the mainland again by  the Hindenburgdamm causeway.
